PRESS RELEASE

Thursday, 30th April, 2020

I am directed by my Principal, Hon. (Hi-Chief) Felix Uruemuesiri ANIRAH, Member, representing Sapele State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly and the other Leaders/Stakeholders of PDP Sapele Local Govt. Area that nominated Hon. Godwin Omamurhieme ATOSE as our choice candidate for the position of Delta State PDP Chairman, that the general public should discountenance any claim that the INDIGENOUS PEOPLE of Sapele are against the ITSEKIRI PEOPLE or any other TRIBE that has lived and settled in Sapele Local Govt. Area over the years.

The Leaders and Stakeholders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sapele Local Govt. Area are detribalized and hospitable. We have lived in harmony with the ITSEKIRIS, URHOBOS, ISOKOS, YORUBAS, HAUSAS, IGBOS, EDOS, etc for many years and Politics can not disunite us.

Furthermore, if you can recall we made it clear in our previous articles that the issue at stake is not tribal, we also made mention of non indigenes that are holding Party executive positions and elective positions in Sapele Local Govt. Area. We are only saying that sensitive positions like the PDP State Chairman zoned to Sapele can never be mortgaged for any reason, because there are three positions zoned to Ethiope East Local Govt. Area. These positions are; State Organizing Secretary, State Assistant Secretary Central and National Women Leader South South.

Finally, we wish to reiterate that Hon. (Hi-Chief) Felix Uruemuesiri Anirah and the other PDP Leaders/Stakeholders will continue to promote as well as support any course that will enhance the development and growth of all, politically and otherwise irrespective of their tribes or affiliations.

Signed:

RE: TO GREG OMENE A FACELESS WRITER, AWINOR FRIDAY AND COHORTS

Greg Omene, Awinor Friday and cohorts, for your information, no legislator in the 7th Delta State House of Assembly that resumed 10th June 2019 has been given constituency project, so it is laughable for you to have said the Honourable Member, representing Sapele State Constituency will receive over 50 million for his Constituency project.

On the issue of putting an end to my political future, I am not surprised at you, Greg Omene the faceless writer, Awinor Friday and cohorts, because during the 2019 State Assembly primary elections you people also threatened that I have nailed my political coffin, for supporting Hi-Chief F.U. ANIRAH, but you were put to shame by God Almighty as my Principal emerged victorious. You people have started again with your normal threats by saying my Principal, Okakuro F.U. has put an end to my political future as if you are God or as if you know tomorrow. It might amaze you to know that I have not even started politics yet, because I am still learning from my Leaders (Okakuro F.U. ANIRAH, Hon. Godwin O. ATOSE and the other 14 great Leaders and Stakeholders who presented Hon. G.O. ATOSE as the choice candidate for the position of PDP State Chairman 2020)

For the salaries of Legislative Assistants (LA) of Hi-Chief F.U. ANIRAH, it is also laughable for you to have said he is sharing my salary or the salary of any of us that are his statutory Four (4) Aides with others. You can make your findings from Mr. Tenison Boyo or any of the other Aides. The Honourable Member, representing Sapele State Constituency, DTHA can not stoop so low as to sharing the salary of Tega Ezekiel Ughara or any other of his Aide with four other persons.

The best way to empower people is to give them good jobs or means of livelihood to enable them take care of themselves and also afford to buy cars for themselves.

On the issue of PDP State Chairmanship, a directive from the State Caucus of PDP to the Delta Central Caucus/Leaders is that Hon. (Hi-Chief) Felix Uruemuesiri ANIRAH, Leaders and Stakeholders of PDP Sapele LGA should select a Chairman from Sapele and the only person who indicated interest was Hon. Godwin Omamurhieme ATOSE.

What crime has Okakuro F.U. ANIRAH, Leaders and Stakeholders of PDP Sapele committed? Barr. Kingsley Esiso refused to attend the meeting. What is the fight between Hi-Chief ANIRAH and Barr. Esiso? What sin has Okakuro ANIRAH and Leaders/Stakeholders of PDP Sapele committed by submitting the name of the only person who Indicated interest?

For the information of the general public, information was passed from the State caucus to the Leaders of Delta Central on the zoning formula. Delta Central Leaders on the 19th of March 2020, held a meeting at H.E. Chief James Onanefe IBORI’s Residence at Oghara, where the Chairmanship position was zoned to Sapele LGA, in the presence of the following persons

  1. Sen. Ighoyota AMORI, who represented Ethiope West LGA.
  2. Chief Bernard EDEWOR, who represented Ethiope East LGA.
  3. Prof. Sam , OYOVBAIRE, who represented Okpe LGA.
  4. Hi-Chief Felix ANIRAH, who represented Sapele LGA.
  5. Rt. Hon. Evelyn OBORO, who represented Uvwie LGA.
  6. Hon. (Dr) Henry SAKPRA, who represented Udu LGA.
  7. Chief John OGUMA, who represented Ughelli South LGA.
  8. Chief Fred MAJEMITE, who represented Ughelli North.

The above persons formed the Delta Central caucus zoning committee, where the positions were shared and they were requested to fill the positions and return same to Sen. (Chief) Ighoyoya AMORI for onward transmission to the appropriate quarters.

Sapele in turn called a meeting of Leaders and Stakeholders, invited interested persons who will indicate interest for the said position. The meeting was convened at Chief Mrs. Margaret UNUKEGUO’s residence, with a clear indication to all Stakeholders and Leaders and the agenda indicated. In that said meeting, the only person who indicated interest to be Chairman was Hon. Godwin ATOSE, and the house was unanimous in adopting him. Kingsley ESISO never attended the meeting, so where does the sin of the Leaders lie? He never indicated interest, he never consulted, apparently feeling that it is his birthright to be Chairman.
We want to cease this opportunity to make it clear that we have no issues with him, the Leaders have sent the name of the only person who indicated interest.

We are making it abundantly clear that people should desist from abusing the Leaders who did not in any way commit any offense whatsoever. It is their constitutional role they played in submitting the name of Hon. Godwin ATOSE, so if anybody feels he can achieve the same feat, he is at liberty to so do.

A word is enough for the wise, nobody has abused anybody, and on our part we have continued to remain calm, we have never abused anyone and people should be called to order.

We have the ability and capacity to unleash uncontrollable words on any person if the need arises, we are one political family and we are restraining ourselves from making hate speech.

WRITTEN BY:JOHN OMENE: PDP STALWART, ETHIOPE-WEST LGAPrincewill Ejogharado , Frankly, this whole scenario between Esiso on one hand and Anriah and co on the other hand can be love liken to the situation between the southern/ Northern Nigeria. The southerners wants to leave on their own but the Northerners say “No” we must be together because of the discovery of oil in the south. The indigenous people of Sapele say “No” you are not from here , you dey force yourself on them. Okey, let the Sapele Okpe people just adopt Esiso as a child of necessity.I am an Oghara man from Ethiope West local govt area , there is one man in Oghara who have been enjoying choice appointment from Chief Ibori time till date but during Uduaghan 2nd term the man said he wants to contest for House of Assembly, do you know that the day his post came out, that was the day Oghara people called him and him if he had forgotten that his father was buried at Jesse . The man did not say heaven will fall but he immediately withdrawn to save his face and integrity.Again, it is a serious mistake to give adolescent the opposite impression. It is always a serious monumental mistake to engage a whole community in a political struggle that can consume you.History has it that political struggle are never won on the pages of Newspaper or Media. Rather most political solution are sorted out by night.Read John 3:1-8 Nicodemus made appointment to see Jesus at Night for fear of the Pharisees. Nicodemus a top Jewish council member throw away Pride and put on the germent of humility.Esiso could have been able to settle this whole issue before now but he allowed pride to take over his sense of humility. Funny enough, the Chief Anirah side has 5 joker which they have not release but one of the joker is that during the last Governorship/ House of Assembly and the Presidential/ National Assembly elections respectively there is a video to show where Esiso cast his vote and some sycophant are just talking and writing nonsense especially the last article, the writer was just talking about history like a man who does not know that what people wants to hear is judgemental fact not issues concerning – Nigeria Civil war, AT&P, Mukoro Mowoe and Salubi . The writer went further to confused himself by bring Chief Ibru and Chief Ibori to x- ray, As if he was drunk he tried to confused himself that Esiso emergency for the first term was by election. We have to be very careful so that we don’t make the same mistake made in Zanfara and Rivers .

SAPELE VOICE A DISDAINFUL REPORTER

To Hi-Chief Felix Anirah

Sapele Voice, it seems you learn very slowly, we told you just yesterday that our Principal, Hon. (Hi-Chief) Felix Uruemuesiri ANIRAH is not in competition with anybody and that it will be ungodly to take advantage of the less privileged by uploading photos and videos of them in other to showoff unnecessarily.

“As you no go fit stop busy body, make I tell you some palliatives wey Hi-Chief F.U. ANIRAH don do so far;”

  • He bought bags of Rice, Beans, cartons of Noodles, etc and distributed to the people of Sapele Local Govt. Area both the physically challenged.
  • He gave money to some people that could not get the foodstuffs.
  • He gave bags of Garri, Bean, Rice and cartons of Noodles to some rural areas and will be going to other rural areas tomorrow to give palliatives, you are free to come along with us to see for yourself but you will not be allowed to make videos or photographs.
  • He gave Twenty Thousand (N20,000) naira to the mother of the boy that sustained bullet wounds in Central Hospital Sapele and the final bill will be borne by him. The boy has been discharged and he ( Hi-Chief ANIRAH) visited the boy yesterday in their residence and vowed to take care of his upkeep by way of including him in the Felix Anirah Foundation (FAF).
  • He also deposited One Hundred Thousand (N100,000) as part payment for the three persons that sustained bullet wounds and the final bill will also be borne by him. You can go to OBULE Medical Center for verification, as the receipt is been uploaded for your perusal.

For your information, no matter your pressure, Okakuro Felix Uruemuesiri ANIRAH will never make videos, photos, or disclose names of persons he gave support to during this trying time of COVID-19 that is currently threatening mankind.

Sapele Voice, you go just wakeup and start to talk without even investigating at all, we’ll soon disclose your identity the way we disclosed that of Jakpa Bemigho (Sapele Olofofo Unugbragada) if you don’t stop this your way of saying unfounded things… ANIRAH has been giving back to the society since this lockdown started or do you think it’s everything we publicise? If not for your busy body I wouldn’t have disclosed this…Hi-Chief F.U. ANIRAH has touched the physically challenged, the villagers and we’re still going to the villages on Monday, he has also given items to NGO’s, as I speak with you he just bought some Rice, Beans, Noodles, etc to be distributed today. Please Sapele Voice, always take time to find out before you talk, for you may loose relevance on the Social Media if you continue this way. The masses are watching you take note. Finally, taking advantages of the poor masses, by way of uploading videos and photos of them because you gave them food items that they truly deserves, is what my Principal, Okakuro F.U. ANIRAH frowns at in its entirety. So be guided.

Thursday, 16th April, 2020EQUITY IS THE BEDROCK OF PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE OF EVERY POLITICAL ACTORS – And That is What “Hon. (High Chief) Felix Uruemuesiri ANIRAH” Stands for…

Thursday, 16th April, 2020

Every mudslinging, tissues of lies and callous print media, oral statements, social media publication, which is being orchestrated by “Chief (Barr.) Kingsley ESISO” through his emissaries and faceless writers on Facebook and blogs, shall come to nought, because at the end of the day, the will of the people of Sapele State Constituency shall come to stay.

The basic truth, is that, Why can’t “Chief (Barr.) Kingsley ESISO and his cohorts” tell us if the other 24-Local Government Areas in Delta State, including Ethiope East LGA, were “Chief (Barr.) Kingsley ESISO” hails from, have their indigenes as State Representatives of the PDP in Delta State, and that of Sapele Local Government Area, where the State Chairmanship of PDP has been zoned to, will not be allowed for equity sake to produce its own indigenous representative as the State Chairman of PDP.

They say, “He who comes to Equity, must come with a clean hands”. Ethiope East LGA, where “Chief (Barr.) Kingsley ESISO” hails from, has been designated for the Post of “State Organizing Secretary of PDP Delta State”; “Assistant Secretary of PDP, Delta Central”; and also “South South Women Leader PDP”; and as we talk, it is their own indigenous person or representative that has been representing them and also has been projected for the other designated positions.

It is also for the same Equity sake, that His Excellency, Chief Onanefe Ibori (former Governor of Delta State) in his wisdom, had to rotate the Governorship position of Delta State, among the Three (3) Senatorial Districts of Delta State to accommodate all the vested interest of each Senatorial District, in which the present Government of Delta State is benefiting from.

To this end, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, should be allowed for the purpose and sake of equity, which is one of the fundamental principles in which the PDP as a Party was founded, to be allowed without any form of cohesion and duress, to produce its own indigenous representative at the State Party levels as the State PDP Chairman, as obtainable in the other 24-Local Government Areas of Delta State, just like other indigenous representative of their respective Local Government Areas.

Conclusively, every negative and backbiting statements on social media and print media about “Hon. (High Chief) Felix Uruemuesiri Anirah” by “Chief (Barr.) Kingsley Esiso and his cohorts” should be discountenance and thrown away with a wave of the hand. They are just trying to distract us from our desired course and the will of our people in the choice of “Hon. Godwin Atose” as our Chairmanship candidate for the position of the State Chairman of PDP, Delta State.

All we are saying, give us ATOSE!!!

DTHA Member Felix Anirah issues an Easter message on Sunday,12th April, 2020.

~ In his statement, Hon. (Hi-Chief) Felix Uruemuesiri Anirah tells Safirians they are not alone during this time and to not feel discouraged.

My fellow Safirians,

As we enter the most Holy time for our faith, I know it is easy to be discouraged with everything that is happening in our world right now.

It is disheartening to see some of our fellow Deltans falling victim to this disease and we can grow impatient with the disruption to our daily lives.

We know we need to abide by these social distancing guidelines from the Federal Government and the State Government for the benefit of us all, but it has made many feel isolated and lonely.

Scripture reminds us in John 16:33 that “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! He has overcome the world.”

Friends, Jesus’ death on the cross is the promise that Christ will make all things new and he can work all things for His good.

I know this year’s Easter isn’t what we are used to… This too shall pass.

As you join others in faith today Sunday through your electronic device, let us give thanks to the Lord for his blessings on our lives and remember each other in prayer.

Remember, we’ll get through this, together, even when we are standing six feet apart.

May God bless you and the great Sapele State Constituency.”

Member, representing Sapele State Constituency, DTHA
