There is no place called Agbabu in the whole of Amuokpe district of Okpe Kingdom, so I wonder why they are trying to lay claims on a land they rented for farming purposes. Their rents have long been expired, and the receipts issued to them by Ejekimoni community leaders are still very much intact.

Finally, for the records Agbabu is a deity in Ejekimoni and not a place in Ejekimoni. Ejekimoni community have been playing host to several companies like CGG, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and Seplat that acquired Shell’s onshore facilities over the years. Till date Ejekimoni is still playing host to all the Oil Pipeline facilities that pass through the community from Panocean, Seplat, etc to Warri refinery, Escravos and others.

Delta most formidable communication group, Coalition for Media Politics and Governance, CMPG, has congratulated the Chairman of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief Barr. John Nani, as well as the Executive Directors and Commissioners of the newly inaugurated Board, by His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa CON, the immediate past Executive Governor of Delta State
CMPG in a goodwill message to the Chairman and board members, signed by its Chairman, Olorogun Barr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, and State Publicity Secretary, Tagbarha Malcolm, and made available to newsmen in Asaba on Wednesday, said the board members are men of aristocratic dignity, astute politicians, super technocrats with impeccable character and competence.
The group noted that Olorogun (Barr.) John Nani, a former Commissioner, and Executive Director of Finance and Administration in the Commission, is armed with the requisite experience, knowledge and boardroom skills to effectively and efficiently lead the team to deliver on the mandate of the Commission.
“CMPG congratulates chairman of DESOPADEC board, Chief Barr John Nani and his Executive Directors and Commissioners on their well deserved appointments.
“Their selfless service, loyalty to party and critical roles in the just concluded general elections attests to their choice for the plum jobs in the commission.

Comr. Onyema Kelvin CHUKWU, the Chairman, Union of Tipper and Quarry Employers of Nigeria, UTQEN Sapele local government area, held an all-encompassing meeting with the Chairman of Sapele local government council, ably represented by Hon. Vincent AYOMANOR, the Vice Chairman of Sapele local government council, Evang. Omasan MABIAKU, the Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Hon. Felix AYEMIDEJOR, Secretary, Sapele local government council, together with the Heads of the various Security agencies in Sapele local government area, on Tuesday, 18th April, 2023.
The UTQEN Chairman of Sapele local government area in his briefing, told them that UTQEN had a judgment in a court case with NURTW, that permits them to operate from the National to the State and LGA, that UTQEN is already operating in Oshimili South local government area, Ika South local government area, etc.
The Vice Chairman of Sapele local government council, Chairman of NURTW Sapele local government area, Secretary of Sapele local government council and Heads of the various Security agencies in Sapele local government area, in response told the UTQEN Chairman and his executives to desist from operating in the local government area from 19th April, 2023 to avoid crisis. That the said judgment was bought and has not been incubated. But the UTQEN Chairman of Sapele being a law abiding citizen of Nigeria, said he will not do anything contrary to what the Political Leaders and Security Heads told him at the council Secretariat meeting on Tuesday, 18th of April, 2023. That the local Government and Security Heads will be the ones to enforce the judgment according to the law of Nigeria.
Comr. CHUKWU further said the executives and members of UTQEN Sapele, currently live in fear owing to the threats from the Chairman of NURTW Sapele and that the NURTW have also been collecting tax forcefully from drivers of UTQEN Sapele chapter.
“We are also using this medium to call on the Delta state government, Sapele local government council and Heads of the various Security agencies in Sapele, to come an intervene, because we now live in fear.” CHUKWU.
“There is a Court Judgment giving a restraining order to NURTW which their state Chairman Comr. ARIYOR is aware of, but the NURTW Sapele chapter has refused to obey that Court order and they are misleading everybody here in Sapele, making the Local Government and Heads of Security agencies to stop us from carrying out our union activities peacefully in Sapele local government area.” CHUKWU said.

Onyema Kelvin CHUKWU, the Chairman, Union of Tipper and Quarry Employers of Nigeria, UTQEN, Sapele local government area, together with the Executives and Members of the Union, has felicitated a Trailblazer and a Charismatic leader of Delta state, Rt. Hon. (Okakuro) Sheriff Francis Orohwedor OBOREVWORI, Speaker, Delta state house of assembly, DTHA, over his victory as Governor-Elect of Delta state.
Comr. CHUKWU in his remarks, appreciated the leadership skills of Okakuro OBOREVWORI and reiterated that he is the only Speaker who has served for Six (6) years without impeachment since the creation of Delta state on 27th August, 1991 till date, that such a technocrat will manage Delta state very well.
