…Sapele Main Aproko, an agent of Sapele Tafia and not a trained journalist, reports should not be taken seriously.
A report being sponsored by unscrupulous persons, whom we don’t want to mention their names yet, is unfounded. The Sapele Tafia paid publication aims at misinforming the general public on the true owners of the said land.
The Ejekimoni community people are peaceful and law-abiding indigenous people of Amuokpe district of Okpe Kingdom and will never be pushed into communal clash, as they are patiently waiting for the Supreme Court to determine the true owners of the said land.
There is no place called Agbabu in the whole of Amuokpe district of Okpe Kingdom, so I wonder why they are trying to lay claims on a land they rented for farming purposes. Their rents have long been expired, and the receipts issued to them by Ejekimoni community leaders are still very much intact.
Below are towns and villages that make up Amuokpe district; there is no place like the so-called Agbabu:
- Amuokpe
- Okuosajere
- Okuovwori
- Ogegere
- Ibada-amuokpe
- Adagbrassa-amuokpe
- Igbeku
- Okunrighwre
- Egbeku
- Ejekimoni
- Ikwewu
- Enanemu
- Eko
- Ugburumu
The sponsors of this unfounded post have also sponsored some criminals to generate crisis in Ejekimoni community, but the community leaders, in their wisdom, instructed the youths to ignore them and wait for the Supreme Court judgment as law-abiding citizens.
Finally, for the records Agbabu is a deity in Ejekimoni and not a place in Ejekimoni. Ejekimoni community have been playing host to several companies like CGG, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and Seplat that acquired Shell’s onshore facilities over the years. Till date Ejekimoni is still playing host to all the Oil Pipeline facilities that pass through the community from Panocean, Seplat, etc to Warri refinery, Escravos and others.
Remain law-abiding.
Expect justice from the Supreme Court.
