RE: CHIEF FELIX ANIRAH WE (House of Assembly Member), BY SAPELE VOICE

RE: CHIEF FELIX ANIRAH WE (House of Assembly Member), BY SAPELE VOICE Wednesday, 11th March, 2020No doubt the good people of Sapele Supported Hon. (High Chief) Felix Uruemuesiri ANIRAH, to emerge as Member, representing Sapele State Constituency, Delta State House of Assembly. But I can assure you that Hi-Chief F.U. ANIRAH is working round the clock to ensure effective representation. The poor electricity supply is a general problem across the country, so don’t sound as if it’s ANIRAH’S fault. The Hi-Chief refused to use the Line 33, he’s using the regular Line like you and I, because he knows the plight of the masses. BEDC approached him to use Line 33 but he made them understand that he can’t be using 33kv while his people are suffering from epileptic power supply. Comparing Hi-Chief ANIRAH with anybody is uncalled for here, as he’s not in competition with anyone.Like you rightly said, the Honourable Member, representing Sapele State Constituency, DTHA is a man with gold heart no doubt but the Street Light issue has nothing to do with him. It’s BEDC versus Delta State Government, the charges from BEDC is too much and the State Govt. was unable to meet up, though they’re finding a lasting solution to that problem now.On the issue of Constituency Project, no Legislator in the current 7th Assembly has gotten Constituency Project so far, so let’s be patient please. Hi-Chief ANIRAH is currently working on the State Polytechnic Elume to kickoff soon, he’s also working round the clock to upgrade Sapele Technical College (STC) to a degree awarding institution. The 2020 budget, when implemented will take care of the poor conditions of some of our Public Schools, Hospitals, Roads etc. The Reopening of Sapele Inland Port/Navy relocating to Oghara is a Federal Government issue, it has nothing to do with the State Assembly and I think the National Assembly is handling it already.Let me educate you on something you really need to know in government. There’s what we call Exclusive List, “Exclusive powers,” belongs to the Federal Government only, they are in charge of Defence, Currency, International Relations, Seaports/InlandPorts, Electricity, etc and that’s were the Sapele InlandPort falls under, so I wander what you expect a State Legislator to do about Port and Electricity. There’s also a Concurrent List, “Concurrent powers,” are shared jointly by both the Federal and State Government, they’re in charge of health, education, agriculture, road, housing and whenever there is conflict the Federal law supersedes. There’s also a Residual List, “Residual powers,” are those that are left to, or designated to the States. In other words, everything that is, “left over.” Examples of residual powers are those regarding civil law, urban planning, property issues, etc. So please be guided, ANIRAH is a State Legislator and take note he has no Executive powers, because you’re always sounding as if he’s the Governor of Delta.Sapele Voice, I urge you to tender an unreserved apology to Hon. (Hi-Chief) F.U. ANIRAH, because you can’t say he should wake up from his slumber knowing fully well that the Honourable Man is working tirelessly to ensure effective representation at the State Assembly. Finally, let’s support Okakuro Felix Uruemuesiri ANIRAH, to take Sapele to the next level by bringing our suggestions via Felix Anirah Political Platform (FAPP) Media on Facebook/WhatsApp or to reach him at his residence, as his doors are always open.Ughara, Tega Ezekiel
